
Steam will automatically create a new skyrim folder and redownload everything. If that doesn't work here's another trick to try: go into your steamapps\common folder, find the skyrim folder and just rename it to skyrim2 or something. That's by far the easiest solution though so try it first. I actually had a problem a while back where my game was crashing whenever I tried to quicksave, I read that could fix it, tried it out and it totally did. When it automatically reloads you, try saving after that and see if it's fixed. Just load up a save that still works and type player.kill in the console.
